Chicken Fried-rice

A quick fried rice recipe like you get at your favourite Chinese restaurant. Leftover rice, fried chicken pieces plus a couple of eggs, baby carrots, peas or beans, soy and some tomato sauce is all you need. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired.

  • 2 cup white rice precooked.(refrigerated overnight)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup vegetable ( carrot,leeks,s pring onions, beans or peas)
  • Soy and tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chilli flakes
  • Chinese chilli paste (optional)
  • Precooked Chicken pieces
  • Brown sugar (optional)


  • In a wok or saucepan Pour in vegetable oil or butter, then stir in Ginger garlic paste; cook for about 30 seconds.
  • Then stir in carrots,beans, peas; cover it so the carrot is soft.
  • Add eggs; stir quickly to scramble eggs with vegetables.
  • Stir in cooked rice. Add soy sauce and tomato sauce, toss rice to coat.
  • Add some Brown sugar to add some more flavour.
